right they are all the time. In a profession where being right 60% of the time is a plus, nobody is perfect. With that being said, if you want accurate weekly rankings, you’ve come to the right place! In Week 2, I somehow managed to finish as the third-most accurate in Fantasy Football rankings. I guess it was just an off week for everybody else. On a more serious note, apologies on the Latavius Murray call last week, couldn’t foresee Drew Brees’ injury. Let’s be even better in Week 3. On to the ranks…

QB

I can probably write about Josh Allen and Jimmy Garoppolo every week and while we’re on those two, I love em both this week. I’ll pivot, however, to somebody who has been a letdown thus far, Jameis Winston. Coming off a victory last Thursday night against the Panthers where he referred to himself as a “game manager” in the postgame, Winston is in a great spot against the New York Giants. Everybody is hyped about Danny Dimez being named the starter at quarterback for the Giants but guess what? He won’t help the defense. One week after allowing Dak Prescott to throw for 400 yards and four touchdowns, this Giants defense allowed Josh Allen to throw and rush for a touchdown, finishing as the QB7 overall in Week 2. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and OJ Howard are all in good spots here, which means we should also like their quarterback, Jameis Winston. He climbs back up as a low-end QB1 in this matchup.

RB

You know the hipsters are out when Frank Gore is a popular play in Week 3 of the 2019 NFL season. The truth is, Devin Singletary has yet to practice this week because of a hamstring injury and Gore just handled 21 touches in Week 2. He’s got a matchup against the Bengals who just allowed 317 total yards and three touchdowns to 49ers running backs. If Gore is without Singletary this Sunday, he makes for a low-end RB2, high-end flex option. Because I’m feeling generous, I’ll give you guys another running back who should break out of his slump this week: Devonta Freeman. Freeman has looked like a shell of himself but to be fair he has played two tougher run defenses in the Vikings and Eagles. He’s in a get-right spot against the Colts who have allowed the third-most Fantasy points to running back thus far and 5.50 yards per carry to the position. If Freeman can’t get it done here, hit the panic button.

WR

It’s time for two-a-days. I’ll give you a double-dip at the wide receiver position as well. It might seem obvious but Emmanuel Sanders is now a must-start wide receiver, based on his usage and early rapport with Joe Flacco. Half-man, half-machine, Sanders has seamlessly recovered from a torn Achilles. He’s had at least 86 yards and a touchdown in each of the first two weeks, accounting for 13 targets and 11 receptions in Week 2. No more fading Sanders, regardless of matchup. Further down in this week’s ranks you’ll find Nelson Agholor as a low-end WR3. While the Lions secondary is an above-average one, their weakness is slot receivers. In Week 1, Larry Fitzgerald burned them for 8-113-1 and Week 2, Keenan Allen went for 8-98-0. With DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery most likely out this week, look for Agholor to be the main target for Carson Wentz.

TE

I promise I won’t recommend Noah Fant again… for now. Instead, let’s go with the complete antithesis of Fant, Jason Witten. When streaming a tight end, you want somebody who has the chance to score a touchdown. Well, through two weeks Witten is tied for the team-lead with four red-zone targets and two touchdowns. Witten and the Cowboys face the Miami Dolphins this week, need I say more? I will anyway. They let Mark Andrews run wild in Week 1 for 8-108-1. I think Witten goes for the trifecta and scores three weeks in a row.
