Of course, the implicit part of that agreement is that we would help you FIND said quarterbacks, kickers, tight ends and defenses! We have had quite a successful year with streaming suggestions and hope to keep that positive momentum.
This week, we will be bringing tight ends back into the conversation as we have some more actionable information and the first set of waiver runs should have changed the landscape of what is out there.

Streaming Notes: All players in this weekly column will be under 50% owned in Yahoo! Fantasy Football. A given player might be owned in your league but is not owned in all leagues. FAAB bids will be listed during the regular season but you know your league better than I do. FAAB dollars are also worth more the earlier they are spent in the calendar, so keep that in mind while streaming QB/K/TE/DST.
Week Five Fantasy Football Streamers
Quarterback Fantasy Football Streamers
Andy Dalton – Through four games, the Arizona Cardinals have allowed QB1 games to Matt Stafford, Kyle Allen and Lamar Jackson. Russell Wilson only had to throw 28 times but completed 22 of those passes for 240 yards. This is an abysmal defense that also puts the opposing offense on the field more than average due to the pace of play that the offenses runs at. I know we all just saw #BadAndy on Monday night against the Steelers but through four games, Dalton has the fourth-most pass attempts in football and presides over one of the largest pass-to-run ratio splits of any offense in the NFL. Jacoby Brissett – For three weeks running now, Jacoby Brissett has been the best streaming quarterback. As we wrote the last two weeks, Brisset at this point is probably closer to being an every-week starter than he is someone who is just sitting on the waiver wire. Brissett has now thrown at least two passing touchdowns in every game that he has played, has added 5.7 fantasy points through rushing (an extra touchdown basically) and is one of only three quarterbacks to have 10 passing touchdowns through four games. He is, without a doubt, the top streaming option and might be closer to a weekly starter. Do not leave him on your waiver wire if you are waffling at QB.
If You Are Desperate: Chase Daniel (Playing the hapless Oakland Raiders on the road, he is not the most ideal streamer but should get into the double digits in this matchup in terms of fantasy points)
Kicker Fantasy Football Streamers
Jake Elliot – One of the best streaming kickers that you will see and he is somehow on the wire in over 50% of Yahoo! leagues. The Eagles have the third-highest team total of the week against Luke Falk and the New York Jets. Elliot has attempted only four field goals this year, which is far below the norm at the position but has been perfect on field goals and extra points thus far. With a 29.25 implied total, there isn’t going to be a better option on your waiver wire this year.
Randy Bullock- Taking kickers against Arizona this year has been a recipe for fantasy football success. Teams have attempted two field goals per game and 3.25 extra points per game against the Cardinals. The pace at which the Cardinals offense plays and the turnover-heavy nature of Kyler Murray’s rookie season means that opposing teams are going to have plenty of opportunities to score points for their kickers to take advantage of. Bullock actually has more field goals attempted this year than extra points which points to why he is such a good streamer this week.
Robbie Gould – Solid Gould makes his way back to our hearts this week as the 49ers play the Cleveland Browns at home. Gould has 29 fantasy points on the year but San Francisco enters the week with one of the higher implied totals at 25.25. That is better than Dallas and the same as New Orleans, who have two of the highest owned and scoring kickers in fantasy football thus far. If I didn’t make it a priority to draft Harrison Butker in many of my leagues, this would be the best week of kicker streamers for my personal teams yet!
Tight End Fantasy Football Streamers
Jimmy Graham – Jimmy had his best game as a Packer last week with 6/61/1 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night. Now, he will get a game against the Dallas Cowboys and likely will not have to share the field with Davante Adams. Adams’ absence will open up the passing tree for Green Bay a little more. Without Adams, it is also reasonable to think that Graham will be the top option in the redzone/endzone for Green Bay as that is one of the few demonstrable skills that he has left. Overall, the loss of Adams for one week is pretty big for Graham.
Jack Doyle – With T.Y Hilton not playing last week and not expected to play this week, Doyle tops our projections in terms of a streamer. Doyle received eight targets in the come-fr0m-behind effort last week and finally scored a touchdown as well. Ebron will remain the better touchdown scorer between the pair but Doyle’s floor should be more consistent in PPR leagues. There is likely not a safer 6-10 points on your wire at the position than Doyle.
Ben Watson – If you are looking to shoot the moon in a deeper league, Watson is your guy. He is freshly returned from suspension and the Patriots are hoping that he is capable of being their starting tight end right away. It is probably unreasonable to expect Watson to play a full complement of snaps in his first active week but the starting tight end for the Patriots is a player that I am interested in rostering. Considering that Ryan Izzo and Matt Lacosse have proven themselves to be worthless for fantasy, I am willing to give Watson a chance.
Defense/Special Teams Fantasy Football Streamers
Structural DST Streaming Philosophy: The core tenants of finding a good streaming defense are finding a home defense that is going to face a lot of passing attempts. While your league settings might differ, in general, what we are chasing is sacks, turnovers and the main goal is finding DST touchdowns. DST touchdowns happen most often on passing plays as opposed to rushing plays.
Authors Note: The Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles are the two best DST plays of the week but are slightly higher than 50% owned.
Kansas City Chiefs- Both of these things can be true: Jacoby Brissett can be a good streaming Qb and the Chiefs can be a good streaming defense. Brissett has proven he can get a little careless with the ball in comeback attempts but even non-specific to him, this is just the math of DST streaming. If you consistently pick massive home favorite defenses, you are going to be rewarded with sacks, turnovers, and touchdowns because those things happen when teams pass the ball. Even if you think the Chiefs defense isn’t good, they are a good streamer this week.
San Francisco 49ers – Through four games this year, Baker Mayfield has taken 12 sacks and was sacked multiple times in every game except for his Week Four game against the Ravens. The 49ers defense, on the other hand, allows only 6.5 yards per pass attempt this year and is the fourth-best defense in expected points added through three games (they have already had a bye). This is the classic good defense meets middling offense on the road. You can start the 49ers without concern.
If You Are Desperate: Cincinnati Bengals (No one loves to take a sack like Kyler Murray does)
