SuperBowl 50: Broncos Slightly Edge Out Panthers

Initially, the computer had the Broncos as 54% favorites over the Patriots and 57% favorites over the Panthers. After the divisional round, however, Denver only held a 51-49 edge over Tom Brady and the Patriots, while the gap between Peyton and Cam had closed to 55-45. Still, the Broncos continued to remain favorites to make the Super Bowl over the Patriots, a sentiment that was not shared by the oddsmakers in Vegas or by the vast majority of so-called experts and copycat simulation engines.
