Tom Brady (NE): Brady takes the top spot in the last week of the regular season. He has put together another ridiculous season and is likely to break the recently broken Dan Marino passing yards record for a single season. Projected fantasy points: 21.6. 2. Drew Brees (NO): In second place is the guy that already broke that record. On Monday night, Brees passed Marino by throwing for 307 yards, including four touchdowns. The Saints are locked for the playoffs, but don’t expect Brees to take things easy. Projected fantasy points: 21.4. 3. Cam Newton (CAR): The Panthers aren’t in the running for anything, but Newton keeps on producing. He lit up the Bucs last week, throwing for three touchdowns and running for another. If you didn’t see his big run, check it out on youtube. The guy runs and makes cuts like a running back. Projected fantasy points: 20.6. 4. Michael Vick (PHI): Speaking of running quarterbacks, Michael Vick makes the top five this week. Vick has played well as the Eagles have won three straight. Next week’s game doesn’t count for much, but expect Vick to play hard and end the year on a strong note. Projected fantasy points: 19.4. 5. Tony Romo (DAL): Romo didn’t do much of anything last week as he left the game early with a bruised hand. Romo is definitely going to play against the Giants, and will likely play well. The guy knows how to step up and play hurt. Projected fantasy points: 18.1. Not top 5, but could be: This week’s quarterback that missed the cut is New York’s Eli Manning. Tony Romo will likely play better than expected, but Manning is still going to rule the day. The last time he faced the Cowboys he threw for 400 yards and two touchdowns. This game is big, and I’m counting on Eli rising to the occasion. Projected fantasy points: 16.7.
