Soccer picks. Football picks. Whatever you choose to call them, they are winning picks.

It’s hard to deny that footy handicapping has been doing rathe well. I’ll openly admit that I’ve cooled off since the start of 2012, but even the cool off has seen me put up a mark of 9 wins and 9 losses for the month of January with a net profit of 82 units. So, yes, I still managed to provide investors late to the part with winning picks despite being in a bit of a slump.

With Champions League around the corner, there are another 4 months of top quality matches coming up before we hit the Euros in the summer. This week, I’ve got another set of picks for your winning pleasure. But first, let’s take a look at how we got here, and by here, I mean how I earned 490% Net Profit on 500 units in October…

For those of you who are a bit skeptical, I’ve broken down the profits above into an Average Return on Investment in the chart below. Remember, each individual pick is visible in the Soccer Analysis section (click “Soccer” on the box on the top right of this page).

THIS WEEK’S PICKS…

Top 3 Picks for the Weekend of 3rd February, 2012

1: Manchester United v Chelsea : Man United to win at 3.06 (This week's Free pick)
Chelsea looked miserably bad last weekend. The Blues escaped with a point they didn’t deserve, and Ashley Cole got sent off late on. With Ramires injured, Lampard and Tery questionable, Ashley Cole suspended, and Drogba and Kalou still in Africa, Chelsea would be hard pressed to collect 3 points against Manchester United even if United were in poor form.

United, however, are not in poor form (Liverpool match aside). Paul Scholes has looked like…well, Paul Scholes. He should have put one away last week, and despite United only scored 2 from the spot last week, their performance was top notch. With Rooney and Nani expected back this week, United should take 3 points. The way the Red Devils played last weekend, they should collect 3 points even if Hernandez and Berbatov start again (it should be Welbeck in anycase). Carrick has been in spectacular form, and Chelsea’s midfield is thinned out at the moment, so he should have some space to operate.

The computer picks Chelsea to win 49.4% of the time and has value on United losing. However, AccuScore is 2-13 when projecting value on Manchester United losing, so going against the computer actually in line with the computer, you follow?

After watching both sides last weekend, this is a simple pick for me. Many wonder why I wouldn’t go for the Pick’em at 2.190. To that, I say, I didn’t go for the Pick’em when I picked City to beat United to start this picks series, so why would I use the pick’em now?! Pick United and be done with it! I look forward to your thanks (or curses) come Monday.

Use “Superbowl” and get 25% off an annual membership that will include every sport AccuScore convers (it’s actually an American football promotion), along with the top 4 European leagues and the Champions League.

2: Borussia Monchengladbach v Wolfsburg: Monchengladbach at 2.460
I’d be lieing if I didn’t say Borussia Monchengladbach is a big reason for my success this season. Truth is, I watch the Bundesliga and I believe in this side more than the people who don’t believe in this side. Last week, ‘Gladbach did not look a particularly strong side, and they lacked crispness. Still, they managed a 3-0 victory away from home. This week, AccuScore, once again, projects value on Monchengladbach winning, and they pay better than even money. AccuScore is 11-7 when projecting value in picking Gladbach to win this season with a 2500 unit profit. That’s all the convincing I needed.

3: Blackburn v Arsenal: Over 3 Goals
I know what you’re thinking because I was thinking it too. Arsenal aren’t assured of scoring any goals at all. I agree with you, believe me. However, this is a trends pick. Simple and plain, the computer has the two teams combining for over 3 goals 50.6% of the time. When AccuScore has projected an Over this season, AccuScore is 7-3 in matches involving Arsenal, 13-2 in matches involving Rovers, and 9-1 when Rovers are away from Ewood Park. Arsenal are due a couple goals, so why not? Computer says it, so I’ll fall in line.

Editor’s Note: Make sure to tune in for Atletico Madrid v Valencia in La Liga, Napoli v AC Milan & Inter v Roma in Serie A, Newcastle v Aston Villa in the Premier League, and Leverkusen v Stuttgart in the Bundesliga…apart from the matches I’ve already made picks for: Chelsea v United, Monchengladbach v Wolfsburg, and Arsenal v Blackburn.
