Juventus vs Roma Pick and Preview
This weekend, the marquee match is Juventus traveling to Rome to take on Francesco Totti and AS Roma. Juve is top of the Serie A table after 24 rounds, and the team from Turin is maintaining a healthy five point lead over second-place Napoli.
Roma has dropped to ninth in Italy and has a new manager at the helm. Aurelio Andreazzoli started his career at Roma with a loss away to Samporia, and the 59-year-old has the unenviable task of coaching his first match at the Olympic Stadium in Rome against the defending Italian champions and current league leaders.
Roma has been dealt a couple boosts with Claudio Marchisio, who scored in the midweek of the Champions League, suspended along with Federico Peluso. Along with Marchisio’s suspension, Roma also has a scheduling advantage. Juve played on Tuesday in Scotland, so they have a short turnaround before facing Roma. Of course, the biggest advantage is simply that Roma is playing at home, where the Giallorossi have only lost three matches out of 11 played.
Unfortunately for the Romans, Juventus only has one away defeat this campaign—a Nov. 25 loss to AC Milan.
On Saturday, Roma and Juventus present the most intriguing fixture in Europe.

Pick: Juventus to win at 2.120 (+112)
Juve may be slightly weary and may be missing a couple key players, but Roma is still not ready to beat the Italian champions. With Giovinco sitting out against Celtic in the midweek, his pacey fresh legs should get a run in the side. Frankly speaking, Juventus is just a better team, and with Champions League not a concern in the upcoming mid-week, Pirlo should play, and his vision and ability alone are enough to win the match. At better than even money on offer, there is definitely value on this pick.
The AccuScore computer agrees with regard to value. The computer predicts that Juventus has a 53.2 percent chance of winning which is significantly better than the 46.0 percent the oddsmakers are currently offering on Juve. As such, the Computer calculates value on picking Juventus, and it is hard to argue with that. Take the Italian champions to win against the ninth best team in Italy with a new manager making a home debut.
