Odds for each team to make the semis, final, and win Euro 2012

According to the AccuScore computer’s calculations, Germany is the best pick to win the 2012 European Championship as it provides value and is the most likely team to accomplish the task at hand. Looking at how Germany played and progressed during the group stage, one would have difficulty arguing that Germany is the favorite.

Italy, however, provides the greatest value when looking at the odds on offer. The Italians have a 14.7% chance of winning Euro 2012, but the odds makers in Las Vegas are calculating Italy to have a 10.6% chance of winning.

The computer calculates the worst odds on offer for Portugal. Even with Cristiano Ronaldo regarded as a special talent by the computer (he’s the 2nd most likely scorer in the quarterfinals behind Germany’s Mario Gomez), Portugal is only given a 6.2% chance of winning by AccuScore. The oddsmakers currently have Portugal as the third most likely team to win the Championship behind Germany and Spain.
