The Premier League is off for the weekend due to FA Cup play. Definitely keep an eye on Sunday’s Manchester Derby which will feature a Man City squad without Yaya Toure. However, Serie A and La Liga are back, so our expert is focused on finding value in those 2 leagues.
AccuScore does not cover the FA Cup. We do, however, cover La Liga and Serie A, both of which return after a winter break. While they were gone, our analyst (i.e. me) made a Free Boxing Day pick and a New Year’s day pick. Of course, the AccuScore analyst got both correct (and an inflated head) to continue his remarkable streak. He’s said it before and he’ll say it again: there isn’t a man in the world who has been as good (and lucky) at picking winners the past few months. Our expert's overall PROFIT is now 474%. Our analyst is 29-10, 74%, on the season in making picks, and he has not had a single losing weekend. Also, he is quick to remind everyone that he does not pick heavy favourites because he doesn’t see the point in risking a lot for very little. At this point, the company is hoping he loses just once to shut him up, but since everyone at our company is financially invested and winning, everyone seems okay with this winning streak (and his recent rude behavior).
As AccuScore members who have been cashing in all season will tell you, these numbers are no exaggeration and have been building every week. Our Analyst is nearing 3 straight months without a single losing weekend!!! That’s incredible!
Apart from the Boxing Day Free Pick, AccuScore’s Analyst picks are only available to members, so if you’re not a member, we’re giving you a 20%OFF discount for the remainder of the season and half of next season. Top 3 Picks for the Weekend of 7th January, 2012
1: Lazio v Siena : Over 2 and 2.5
Is this an intuitive pick? No. Is this a pick that I would make without the computer? No. However, 55% of simulations resulted in these teams combining for 3 or more goals. AccuScore is 7-1 when over 50% of simulations result in the over and involve Lazio. Lazio is also 3-1 when the on AccuScore Totals picks away home this season.
2: Napoli (2.36) v Palermo
Napoli are a better side than Palermo, but Palermo have only lost 1 match at the Stadio Renzo Berbera. However, that loss came the last time Palermo hosted a league match. Also, the pink shirted club did not manage a win for the entire month of December, 6 matches. Napoli are without Levezzi, but Goran Pandev is a worthy replacement in the absence of speedy Argentinean. Pandev has been in good form since signing for Napoli, and he has been key in the absences of Cavani, Lavezzi, or Hamsik. At 2.36, it’s hard to pass up on Napoli facing a weaker side. AccuScore has Napoli winning 56.6% of simulations and oddsmakers are giving the team from Naples a 41.5% chance.
3: Levante (2.04) v Mallorca
Levante started the season strong and then faded away under the inevitable pressure of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia. Levante are not a squad that rotates much and have a rather old squad. Returning from the winter break, Levante should be well rested, and so, hosting a match against 14th place Mallorca is not a tough ask. Further, Mallorca have only won 1 match in 7 away from home. In sharp contrast, Levante have only 1 loss in 7 at their fortress. Levante currently sit in 4th place, and AccuScore projects value in picking Levante to win. At 2.04, it’s not a bad play, in my opinon, so let’s play it then!
For those of you who would like to look at our expert’s record in a more conservative manner, we present to you the Average Return on Investment. Notice that there has not been a single losing week and our expert has picked bottom dwellers, mid-tablers, and elite teams without discretion…well, actually, he has used discretion. Our analyst insists on only picking winners and winners that pay at least 1 to 1 or close to it. Even the most conservative estimates would see users with a 61% Retun on Investment and profit 2,370 units.
