Washington Redskins Season Preview
The shortened free agency period may prove a boon to the Redskins as owner Dan Snyder has spent big bucks in past years with little to show for it. Washington fans will probably like the fact that he probably won’t be able to do that this year. It also means, however, that the Redskins might not have much of a chance to improve.

Preseason projections have Washington clearly behind its competition in the NFC East with a 6-10 record. The Redskins are forecasted to have just a two percent chance at winning the division and a seven percent chance of making the playoffs. With the Eagles heavy favorites to win the NFC East, this isn't really much of a surprise.
Washington didn’t draft a quarterback, and as of now, Rex Grossman is the starter. With really no leader and no direction under center for the future this team seems a bit rudderless. A team like this would usually lean on its defense, but that unit ranked 31st in total yards a year ago. That’s why the top two draft picks were spent on defensive players. It will likely be another year of waiting for football fans in the nation’s capital.
