Calvin Johnson (DET): Johnson’s production suffered as the Lions’ offense struggled in the loss to the Saints. He finished with just 69 receiving yards and no scores. Luckily for fantasy owners the Lions play the Vikings in week 14. Megatron shouldn’t have much trouble abusing the Minnesota secondary. Projected fantasy points: 15.8. 2. Wes Welker (NE): Welker had his second straight game with over 100 receiving yards. He had a rough couple of games, but it looks like he’s completely back to his early season production. Projected fantasy points: 12.8. 3. Percy Harvin (MIN): Harvin has stepped up big in Adrian Petersons’ absence. He has scored four touchdowns in the past three games, including two against the Broncos do go along with 156 receiving yards. As long as Peterson is out, Harvin will remain the focus of the offense and will rack up the fantasy points. Projected fantasy points: 12.1. 4. Greg Jennings (GB): Jennings recorded his ninth touchdown of the year against the Giants. He is approaching 1,000 receiving yards on the year and will likely finish the season with at least ten touchdowns. The Packers play the Raiders this Sunday, which means plenty of favorable matchups for Jennings and company. Projected fantasy points: 11.6. 5. Hakeem Nicks (NYG): Hakeem Nicks out played Jennings in the loss. He caught seven passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns. The Giants have a big game against the Cowboys on Sunday. Nicks would undoubtedly be targeted often along with Victor Cruz. Projected fantasy points: 11.6. Not top 5, but could be: This week’s wide receiver that missed the cut is Pittsburgh’s Mike Wallace. Wallace quietly had his highest touchdown totals game of the year against the Bengals. He scored two touchdowns on just three passes. Pittsburgh plays lowly Cleveland this Sunday. I’m expecting Wallace to have a field day with the Browns’ secondary. Projected fantasy points: 10.9.
