Calvin Johnson (DET): Megatron ended his two-game touchdown drought against the Packers on Thanksgiving. The Lions’ next opponents, the New Orleans Saints, do not play a lot of defense. Expect another touchdown from this year’s top receiver. Projected fantasy points: 15.8. 2. Wes Welker (NE): Welker returned to early season form in the Patriots’ huge win over the Eagles. He finished with 115 receiving yards and two touchdowns. It’s good to see him doing what he does best: tearing up opposing secondaries. Projected fantasy points: 12.9. 3. Percy Harvin (MIN): Harvin’s role in the offense has grown ever since Adrian Peterson went down with an ankle injury. In the last two games, he caught his first two touchdowns of the year. Expect him to continue this trend as he is one of Minnesota’s few real offensive weapons. Projected fantasy points: 11.3. 4. Greg Jennings (GB): Jennings caught five passes for 74 yards and notched his eighth touchdown of the season on Thanksgiving. Jennings and the Packers’ offense have been rolling since week one and they aren’t going to slow down anytime soon. Projected fantasy points: 11.2. 5. Mike Wallace (PIT): Wallace had an uncharacteristically bad game last week, catching two passes for 17 yards. The Steelers play the Bengals in week 13. Cincinnati is weakest again the pass, so look for Pittsburgh to utilize Wallace’s big play ability. Projected fantasy points: 11.1. Not top 5, but could be: This week’s wide receiver that missed the cut is New York’s Victor Cruz. Cruz had his best game of the year against the Saints. He caught nine passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns. The Giants play the Packers on Sunday. I’m expecting Cruz to play well against the poor Green Bay defense. Projected fantasy points: 10.3.
