Rob Gronkowski (NE): Gronkowski takes the top spot after another ridiculous game. He scored three touchdowns, two off receptions and one on a two yard rush. He has 13 touchdowns on the season and is one of the year’s biggest fantasy surprises. Projected fantasy points: 12.5. 2. Jimmy Graham (NO): Graham failed to reach the end zone against the Lions, but finished with 89 receiving yards on eight receptions. Graham is Drew Brees’ favorite target, which is all you need to know. Make sure he is starting on Sunday. Projected fantasy points: 9.8. 3. Tony Gonzalez (ATL): Against the Texans, Gonzalez had 100 receiving yards for the first time this year. He didn’t score, but the points off yardage made him a solid start in week 13. This weekend the Falcons play the Panthers. Carolina’s defense is suspect at best, which makes Gonzalez a solid starter. Projected fantasy points: 8.8. 4. Jason Witten (DAL): Witten’s production has taken a dip in the last two games. He has zero touchdowns and just 90 receiving yards in his past two games. If you have one of the other tight ends higher up on this list, feel free to start them, but otherwise Witten is still a solid option as he leads the team in receptions with 61. Projected fantasy points: 8.8. 5. Antonio Gates (SD): It seems like Gronkowski took all the touchdowns for tight ends this week, as Gates is the fourth player on this list to fail to score in week 13. He did finish with 70 yards on six catches, and had one impressive, juggling catch. The Chargers play the Bills this week. Buffalo’s defense hasn’t stopped anyone all year, so expect Gates to get plenty of opportunities to put up points. Projected fantasy points: 8.6. Not top 5, but could be: This week’s tight end that just missed the city is Green Bay’s Jermichael Finley. Finley had a great game in the win over the Giants, catching six passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. The Packers’ next opponents are the Raiders, whose defense got absolutely dismantled by the Dolphins in week 13. I’m expecting Finley to score another touchdown this week. Projected fantasy points: 7.5. Top 5 NFL fantasy running backs Top 5 NFL fantasy wide receivers Top 5 NFL fantasy quarterbacks Top 5 NFL fantasy defenses/special teams Top 5 NFL fantasy kickers
