1. Rob Gronkowski (NE): Gronkowski is a freak and an incredibly talented receiver. Last week he caught four passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. Having him is like having another wide receiver on your roster. Projected fantasy points: 12.7.

2. Jimmy Graham (NO): Graham had a huge game against the Giants, catching five passed for 84 yards and two touchdowns. He remains the Saints’ leading receiver, and for good reason. Expect another solid game against the Detroit Lions. Projected fantasy points: 10.7.

3. Aaron Hernandez (NE): Despite Gronkowski sucking up all the glory, Hernandez still gets plenty of action. He has just fewer than 500 receiving yards and five touchdowns on the season. Gronkowski is the better option, but you can’t go wrong with Hernandez. Projected fantasy points: 9.3.

4. Jason Witten (DAL): Witten did not have a great game last week against the Dolphins. He caught four passes for 43 yards in the win. Don’t be discouraged, Witten remains the Cowboy’s leading receiver and Tony Romo’s favorite option. Projected fantasy points: 8.4.

5. Antonio Gates (SD): Gates recorded his second straight game with a touchdown in the loss to the Broncos. He accumulated just 49 yards, but the touchdown made him a solid start last week. He has bounced back nicely from early season woes. Projected fantasy points: 8.2.

Not top 5, but could be: This week’s tight end that missed the cut is Atlanta’s Tony Gonzalez. Gonzalez’s touchdown streak ended last week against Minnesota. He finished with just nine catches for 69 yards. Gonzalez is a close second in receptions on the team, and I’m expecting him to score a touchdown against the Texans on Sunday. Projected fantasy points: 8.0.
