Tennessee Titans Season Preview
Vince Young never fulfilled his promise with the Titans losing the job a year ago to veteran Kerry Collins who led the team to a disappointing 6-10 season. Neither Young nor Collins are with the team leaving new head coach Mike Munchak with free agent Matt Hasselbeck to mentor first round pick Jake Locker. Hasselbeck looks like a shell of his former All-Pro self, and Locker is definitely not ready to be a full-time starter in the league so the expectations for the Titans should be modest.

Pre-season projections rank the Titans third in the AFC South with a 7-9 record. The Titans are projected to have a 10 percent chance of winning the division and a 15 percent probability of making the playoffs. A lot of the potential for this team will be keeping Hasselbeck healthy, and the success of the ground game.

Chris Johnson has been one of the most durable and reliable running backs in the NFL since entering the league in 2008. While he is currently on a contract holdout, he is eventually expected to report to campa nd continue performing at an elite level. Johnson is entering his fourth season having rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons as a pro. During the 2009 season, Johnson broke the magical 2,000 yard barrier. With a shaky receiving corps and a likely lack of a downfield passing game, Johnson will have to be a workhorse once again. Expect Johnson to carry the ball over 300 times this season.

Projected Record: 7-9
