1. Calvin Johnson (DET): Johnson has scored a touchdown every week except one. On the season he has 804 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Unless something crazy happens, he’ll be number one on this list for the rest of the year. Projected fantasy points: 14.2.
2. Mike Wallace (PIT): Wallace scored his sixth touchdown of the year against Baltimore on Sunday. He has racked up the yards this season, catching 47 passes for 868 yards. This week the Steelers play the Bengals. Cincinnati has a tough defense, but Wallace and company will be its first real test in over five weeks. Projected fantasy points: 13.8.
3. Greg Jennings (GB): The number one receiver in the league’s best offense takes the third spot. Jennings caught six passes for 46 yards and a touchdown last week against the Chargers. Aaron Rodgers is playing out of his mind, and Jennings is benefitting from his stellar play. Projected fantasy points: 12.8.
4. Dwayne Bowe (KC): Bowe finished with decent fantasy numbers last week, considering his team was absolutely throttled by the then winless Dolphins. He caught six passes for 88 yards. This week the Chiefs play the Broncos. Denver’s defense has been suspect all year, so things look good for Bowe and fantasy owners. Projected fantasy points: 11.8.
5. Dez Bryant (DAL): Bryant rounds out the list this week. The wide receiver caught four passes for 76 yards on Sunday. This week the Cowboys play at home against the Bills. Buffalo’s defense is below average, and won’t be able to contain Tony Romo and his receivers for long. Projected fantasy points: 11.1.
Not top 5, but could be: This week’s wide receiver that missed the cut, but is in position to have a solid fantasy game is Atlanta’s Roddy White. This season White has caught 43 passes for 501 yards and three touchdowns. This week the Falcons play the Saints. New Orleans’ defense is good, but has given up a lot of points to subpar teams. I think the Falcons will surprise the Saints and White will have a big game at home. Projected fantasy points: 10.0.
