1. Rob Gronkowski (NE): New England tight end one is the first on the list. Gronkowski had a huge game against the Jets, catching eight passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns. He is a reliable option for Brady and is bound to get plenty of fantasy points every week. Projected fantasy points: 12.1.

2. Aaron Hernandez (NE): New England tight end two is second on the list. Even as Gronkowski was racking up the yards and scores against the Jets, Hernandez ended up with 41 yards receiving. Brady finds a way to get the ball to both of these tight ends on a consistent basis. Projected fantasy points: 9.1.

3. Fred Davis (WAS): Davis is the leading receiver on the Redskins, with 43 receptions for 58 yards. This week the Redskins play the Cowboys. If Washington is going to put up points, it will do so through Davis. Projected fantasy points: 8.9.

4. Jermichael Finley (GB): Finley picked up 67 yards on three receptions in the big win over the Vikings. The Packers have the best offense in football, and with Aaron Rodger as the quarterback Finley is a solid starting tight end. Projected fantasy points: 8.7.

5. Jason Witten (DAL): Surprisingly, Jason Witten didn’t put up great numbers in Dallas’ huge 44-7 win over Buffalo. Witten leads the team in receptions and remains Tony Romo’s most reliable option. There aren’t many tight ends as consistent and productive as Witten in the league. Projected fantasy points: 8.5.

Not top 5, but could be: This week’s tight end that missed the cut is Atlanta’s Tony Gonzalez. Gonzalez picked up his second touchdown in two games against the Saints on Sunday. He has been as productive as ever this year, with 487 receiving yards and six touchdowns. I’m expecting Gonzalez to snag another touchdown this weekend against the Titans. Projected fantasy points: 8.4.
