1. Jason Witten (DAL): Witten bounced back nicely in week nine after his poor performance against the Eagles on October 30. Last Sunday the tight end caught four passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. He leads the team in receptions and is Tony Romo’s number one option. He will certainly get plenty of balls thrown his way on Sunday against the Bills. Projected fantasy points: 10.1.

2. Jimmy Graham (NO): Like Witten, Graham leads his team in receptions. He has 791 receiving yards and five touchdowns on the year. The Saints play the Falcons this Sunday. Atlanta has an average pass defense, which shouldn’t give Drew Brees or Graham too much trouble. Projected fantasy points: 9.8.

3. Antonio Gates (SD): Gates has struggled all year, but is coming off his best game of the year against the Packers. The big tight end caught eight passed for 96 yards and a touchdown in the loss. The Chargers play AFC West rivals the Raiders this Sunday. Oakland’s defense has struggled all year. Projected fantasy points: 9.6.

4. Rob Gronkowski (NE): The Patriots tight end scored his first touchdown in five games last Sunday in the loss to the Giants. In addition, he caught eight passes for 101 yards. The Patriots offense, despite being slowed down the past two weeks, is more than potent enough for Gronkowski to be a fantasy starter each week. Projected fantasy points: 9.3.

5. Jermichael Finley (GB): Finley has scored in his last two games. In the most recent win over the Chargers, he also caught five passes for 44 yards. It doesn’t really matter who the Packers are playing as long as Aaron Rodgers is playing. Expect good things from Finley. Projected fantasy points: 9.3.

Not top 5, but could be: This week’s tight end that missed the cut, but is in position to have a big game is Houston’s Owen Daniels. The Texans have won three straight and haven’t had trouble scoring the ball. I’m expecting Houston to win big over Tampa Bay this weekend. Projected fantasy points: 8.1.
