New Orleans Saints Season Preview
The Saints suffered the biggest upset of last season losing to Marshawn Lynch and the Seahawks on Wild Card weekend. That loss was shocking in a number of ways as the Saints were 9-3 against the NFC and even 6-2 on the road. You can be sure Drew Brees and company have thought about that loss a lot during the offseason, and won’t want something like that to happen ever again.

Preseason projections have New Orleans as the favorite in the NFC South with a record of better than 10-6. The team is winning the division in half of simulations, and making the playoffs in 72 percent of them.

The Saints were actually only the sixth highest scoring team in the NFC, so they picked former Heisman winner Mark Ingram to help solidify their backfield. Unheralded Chris Ivory actually led the team in rushing in 2010, and the hope is that Ingram can be the every down back that Reggie Bush was not. Make no mistake however, Brees is still in control of the offense so look out for another 4,000 yard, 30 touchdown year from him.
