Atlanta Falcons Season Preview
Atlanta was a big surprise last year going 13-3 and winning the top seed in the NFC by 2 full games. But all that regular season success didn’t translate into the playoffs where Green Bay laid a 27 point beat down. You can be sure that loss stung this team, and that will fuel them for 2011.

Currently the Falcons are forecasted for second in the competitive NFC South with a 10-6 record. They are winning the division 35 percent of the time, and making the playoffs 61 percent of the time. The schedule starts out difficult with match-ups against five straight playoff teams from a year ago including three of them on the road.

This team is clearly going for it all this year as evidenced by the big trade to get Julio Jones in the draft. Roddy White is already an established superstar catching passes from Matt Ryan. Atlanta hopes Jones is the missing piece, and can make plays opposite White. The Falcons scored the second most points and allowed the third fewest in the NFC last year, a performance they hope to repeat in 2011.
