The first two picks of the 2012 NFL draft are both quarterbacks: Andrew Luck to Indianapolis and Robert Griffin III to Washington. Both players are stepping into situations where they will be expected to make major impacts immediately under center, and both have the talent and skill to change the outlook of both franchises.
AccuScore has preliminary simulation data with both players on their new teams. Unsurprisingly both players are projected to improve their respective teams significantly. Luck is forecasted to have the better passing numbers while Griffin should have much better stats running the ball as a dual threat. Luck is projected to have the bigger impact in the Win-Loss column however partially because of skill, but also simply the team situation and division. The Redskins are forecasted to be in a tougher division in the NFC East while the Colts might be able to compete right away in the AFC South.
