West Bracket Preview

What to Watch For: The West region - for what it's worth - just might be the most competitive region in the tournament. With Wisconsin and Arizona as the No. 1 and 2 seeds, respectively, this portion of the bracket should have much fewer upsets than the others. Even more so than the teams in this region, keep an eye on the NBA-level talent in the field, including the likes of D’Angelo Russell, Joseph Young, Le’Bryan Nash, Kyle Collinsworth, Tyler Haws, R.J. Hunter, and Ryan Harrow.

Most are expecting the region to once again finish with a must-see matchup between Arizona and Wisconsin, as was the case in 2014. Frank Kaminsky led Wisconsin to a 1-point win last time around. AccuScore gives Wisconsin a 29 percent chance of advancing to the Final Four, compared to Arizona's 39 percent.

Potential Sleeper: Although they'll have quite the difficult path to the Final Four, North Carolina has the depth to shake things up in the big dance. They have plenty of power in the paint, heading into the tournament as one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the country, and have multiple options in the backcourt. Given the bracket they're in, advancing is unlikely, but don't ignore No. 4 UNC just yet.

Potential 1st Round Upsets: No. 5 Arkansas should definitely be very afraid of No. 12 Wofford, a team known for taking care of the ball. Wofford has as much, if not more experience than any other team in the tournament. Add in the fact they know how to win big games (at NC State, vs Iona, vs Sam Houston State) and you’ve got a team ready to pull off the first-round upset. AccuScore gives Arkansas about a 77 percent chance of advancing from the opening round, and about 22 percent to Wofford.

Player to Watch: All eyes will be on Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky or Arizona's T.J. McConnell, but the entertainment will be provided by Ohio State's D'Angelo Russell. He can handle the ball, get his teammates involved and create his own basket. He should be on everyone's "must watch" list.
