Top Trends of the Week + Free Pick – Oct. 6

Last week was a bit divided in soccer betting. Of the nine leagues Accucore simulates, every league except the Scotland Premier Football League was profitable on Totals.

The best performing leagues were Liga MX and Ligue1 that gave nice +350 units profit each. Altogether, pure profit from total bets was almost +1600 units, when we bet all overs and unders with more than 0.5 goal difference between the betting line and Accuscore predictions.

Basically, if AccuScore there was clear one way or the other, the computer won out big over the bookies, just like we like it.

Side value betting didn’t bring as consistent results in every league. Historically, though, the German Bundesliga has been the best performing league in side value bets, which are based on comparing AccuScore’s simulation numbers side by side with odds converted into a percentage.

Per usual, the Bundesliga Side Value picks didn’t disappoint last week. Picking games where there was 20% side value, i.e. BIG value games, nearly 200 units profit was collected. Again, when the computer disagreed with the bookmakers in a big way, the computer came out on top.

While the Bundesliga is consistent year to year, the hottest week on the side value results came via Italy and Serie A. Italian football returned a whopping profit of +920 units if only blindly bet every match in the week leading up to the international break.

Even with other leagues not providing the same level of returns, even bets placed on all Totals and Side Value picks still returned a profit in the last round of European play.

Free Pick of the Week: NFL Football

America’s NFL football has been full speed for a month. Accuscore’s NFL predictions are in the top 10 out of 120 experts that are tracked in www.nflpickwatch.com . Betting results have been solid in that sport, as well. Point spread during first four weeks of the season have returned +690 units profit, while Totals have returned +650 units profit and Side Value bets have returned a resounding +850 units profit. For Week 4, all of these betting categories were profitable, so the computer is warming up, not cooling down.

Even though, Accuscore predictions seem to work best when all games are bet or some very basic filtering has been used, we have selected one game as our weekly pick based on strong trends presented above. As all major European soccer leagues are on break for World Cup qualifiers, this week’s pick comes from NFL.

*All units of profit based on wagering 100 units on each game.
