After my last Champions League pick (I picked Inter to win against Marseille and they did on the day), my season record is at a respectable 44-25 with 2,490 units in profit. Considering I only made 5 picks in week 1 of this series, AccuScore members who have trusted in me from the start are close to 500% in profit. This week, I’ve got 2 new picks with a decidedly Serie A smell to them.
With league football being played every day next week, expect an extra set of picks to follow, and make sure to add Manchester City vs Chelsea to your calendars. We have passed mid-March and only a little over 2 months of the season remain. All the league title races are heating up, and about 6 months of work have led us to this point. At the finishing stretch in the Serie A, Juventus remain unbeaten but still trail by 4 points in the league. AC Milan are galloping along, but this will be an especially important week for the team from Turin. This week, my Free pick is:
Fiorentina v Juventus: Juventus to win at 2.02.
Juventus are 51.8% to win and oddsmakers give them a 48.5% chance of winning. Alright, so that’s not something too crazy, but there is value on Juve winning, and I believe Juve will finally break through and get an important 3 points. Pepe, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchesio, Matri, and Vucinic should all start, and Juventus look a strong side when that’s the case. At better than even odds, I’ll take the “draw-masters” to come up with a rare victory. Note: the computer also sees value on the draw (gulp).
