Bayern Top Bundesliga 2015-16 Preseason Predictions

German Bundesliga is starting within a week and teams are figuring out a few final transfers to get squads ready for the season. The last three seasons have been completely dominated by Bayern Munchen. The question hasn’t been who will win? But how much they will win? Answers have been 25 points, 19 points and 10 points.

The 2015-16 Bundesliga season will be another triumph for Bayern Munchen.



Accuscore doesn’t think that Bayern Munchen will break 90 points mark like it did few seasons ago, but still the total amount of points will be better than last season’s 79. Wolfsburg is predicted to take second position like it did in the past season, but Borussia Dortmund with the help of new manager Thomas Tuchel will bounce back from the horrors of the last season and finish third for a secured spot to Champions League.

Speaking of Champions League, the amount of matches will be too much for Borussia Monchengladbach that will play in this season’s Champions League as well. They are predicted to be fifth in Bundesliga. The gap left by departing Max Kruse will be difficult to fill by their current squad.

The most surprising team in the fight for the sunny spot in European leagues is Werder Bremen. They have made only few moves during the transfer season, but the simulation likes the cohesion of the team and addition of Aaron Johansson from AZ Alkamaar.

Last season’s surprise team FC Augsburg will not repeat its fifth position this time. They would be stuck in mid table mud with few other teams that hope to crack in to top 6. Those hopes are not backed by simulation facts. Also Schalke 04 will continue to search its past success. They have made expensive moves in transfer market, but those moves won’t bring expected impact in the team based on simulations.

It has always been difficult to stay up in Bundesliga after promotion from the Bundesliga 2. During the era when two teams have been relegated, always at least one newly promoted team has made only one year trip to the highest level of German football. This time prediction shows that one of the promoted teams – Ingolstadt or Darmstadt – will have chances to survive for one more year. It seems that Hannover 96 that replaced almost half of the squad will be in the biggest trouble with the relegation based on the season simulations by AccuScore supercomputer.
