1. Dez Bryant (DAL): The top projected fantasy wide receiver for week 3 is Dez Bryant. He didn’t play in week 2 against the Niners, but will be ready to go this Sunday against the Washington Redskins. In week 1 against a tough Jets defense he caught three passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. Dallas should find success throwing against the Washington defense, which means good fantasy points for Bryant. Projected fantasy football points: 13.4.
2. Calvin Johnson (DET): In week 2, Calvin Johnson didn’t get a lot of yardage (29), but made up for that with touchdowns (2). This Sunday he will be facing the Minnesota Vikings who are vulnerable against the pass, ranked 23rd in opponents passing yards. On top of that, Johnson’s quarterback Matthew Stafford has been playing well and targeting the wide receiver often. Projected NFL fantasy points: 12.4.
3. Steve Johnson (BUF): Johnson number two on the list is coming off a big game against the Oakland Raiders last week. He caught eight passed for 96 yards and a touchdown. Next week, his Bills are facing the Patriots. The New England defense is vulnerable against the pass, ranked 31st in the league in opponents passing yards with 381. The Bills may not win the game, but Johnson should have a good day. Point Projection: 12.2.
4. Andre Johnson (HOU): Johnson number 3 takes the fourth spot after a 93 yards receiving and one touchdown game against Miami last week. This Sunday, he will be dealing with a slightly better but not great passing defense in the New Orleans Saints. Johnson has 188 yards and two touchdowns in two games, which is only the beginning for the talented wide receiver. Projected fantasy points: 12.0.
5. Vincent Jackson (SD): Rounding out the top 5 is San Diego’s star receiver Vincent Jackson. Last week Jackson was downright exceptional, catching 10 passing for 172 yards and two touchdowns. This week he will face the atrocious Kansas City pass defense. It would be a good idea to keep Jackson in the starting lineup. Projected fantasy points: 11.8.
