1. Jason Witten (DAL): The always reliable Jason Witten takes the top spot this week. Witten has scored a touchdown in each of his past two games and remains Tony Romo’s favorite target. Against the St. Louis Rams in week seven expect Witten to have another solid game with at least 75 receiving yards. Projected fantasy points: 10.6.

2. Jermichael Finley (GB): Finley did not have a good game last week, catching one pass for 20 yards. This season he has recorded one fantastic game, three decent games, and two poor games. In week seven the Packers play the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are good at stopping the run but bad against the pass. With Aaron Rodgers as the quarterback, Finley is capable of collecting a touchdown every week. Projected fantasy points: 9.0.

3. Owen Daniels (HOU): The Baltimore defense in week six made it tough for the Texans players to put up good numbers, especially Owen Daniels. Daniels finished with only two catches for 13 yards. Despite the recent performance, Daniels remains a good fantasy starter because he has collected three touchdowns this year and 284 receiving yards. Look for him to add to those totals this week against the Titans. Projected fantasy points: 8.5.

4. Jimmy Graham (NO): The Saints tight end takes the fourth spot for week seven. Last week Graham caught seven passed for 124 yards in the loss. Graham continues to lead the team in receptions and will likely get plenty of balls thrown his away against the Indianapolis Colts. Projected fantasy points: 8.0.

5. Tony Gonzalez (ATL): The future hall of famer rounds out the list. Gonzales is coming off a rough game against the Carolina Panthers; he finished with three catches for 29 yards, but remains one of the top receiving options for quarterback Matt Ryan. The Falcons face the Lions this week, and with wide receivers Roddy White and Julio Jones attracting a lot of attention from the secondary, Gonzales should be free down the middle. Projected fantasy points: 7.2.

Not top 5, but could be: This week’s tight end that didn’t make the list but is due for a big game is Detroit’s Brandon Pettigrew. Pettigrew has scored two touchdowns in the past two games and is receiving more looks as opposing secondaries lock down on Calvin Johnson: I expect Matt Stafford to find Pettigrew open over the middle throughout the game this week against the Atlanta Falcons. Projected fantasy points: 7.0.
