1. John Kasay (NO): The New Orleans offense made sure Kasay got plenty of action last week in the 62-7 victory over the Colts. The kicker made two field goals and eight extra points. This week the Saints play the lowly Rams in a game that should see plenty of offensive production from New Orleans, which benefits Kasay fantasy owners. Projected fantasy points: 10.7.

2. Billy Cundiff (BAL): Billy Cundiff takes the second spot after the loss to the Jaguars. The Ravens offense was awful and Cundiff missed his first field goal of the season. This week the Ravens play the Cardinals, whose defense is considerably worse than that of the Jaguars. Baltimore will have more success on offense and Cundiff’s production should pick back up. Projected fantasy points: 9.9.

3. Rian Lindell (BUF): In week 7 Lindell had a decent game, hitting one field goal and three extra points through the uprights. His production suffered as the Bills were held to just 24 points by the Giants in the loss. Buffalo plays at home this week against Washington, which is a good sign for Lindell as the Bills have played much better at home than on the road. Projected fantasy points: 9.5.

4. Neil Rackers (HOU): Rackers had a good game in the Texans’ big win over the Titans last Sunday. He nailed two field goals and five extra points. This week Houston hosts Jacksonville. The Jaguars defense just dismantled the Ravens offense, so the Texans are likely to have some trouble scoring the ball. They will undoubtedly rely on Rackers for offense. Projected fantasy points: 9.4.

5. Lawrence Tynes (NYG): Last week Tynes was the difference in the game, as he hit two field goals and three extra points. This week the Giants host the winless Dolphins. Expect New York’s offense to score at will, and Tynes will benefit from that production. Projected fantasy points: 8.7.

Not top 5, but could be: This week’s kicker that just missed the cut is Detroit’s Jason Hanson. Hanson scored most of Detroit’s points in the loss to Atlanta. He made three field goals and one extra point. The Lions are playing the struggling Broncos this weekend. I expect the Lions offense to get back on track, and for Hanson to benefit from plenty of offensive production. Projected fantasy points: 8.6.
