1. Dan Bailey (DAL): Bailey takes the top spot after a solid game against the New England Patriots where he made three field goals and one extra point. Bailey has been consistently good for the Cowboys all year and has even won them a game. Projected fantasy points: 11.8.

2. John Kasay (NO): After a poor game in week four, Kasay has been perfect. He sent two field goals and two extra points through the uprights last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This week the Saints are going to put up points against the Colts and Kasay will be there to pick up fantasy points. Projected fantasy points: 10.3.

3. Nick Novak (SD): Novak’s last game, against the Denver Broncos, was his best of the year. He nailed five field goals, one from over 50 yards, and two extra points. In week seven, the Chargers play the New York Jets in the Meadowlands. San Diego is going to have a hard time scoring touchdowns, so expect Novak to get plenty of field goal opportunities. Projected fantasy points: 9.7.

4. Jason Hanson (DET): Jason Hanson missed his first field goal of the season last week in the loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He still ended up making two field goals and one extra point. Against the Atlanta Falcons this week expect Hanson to send around two field goals and three extra points through the uprights. Projected fantasy points: 9.1.

5. Mason Crosby (GB): The Packers breezed through the last game, which left Crosby with one field goal and three extra points. As long as Green Bay continues to score lots of points, Crosby will have plenty of fantasy value. Projected fantasy points: 9.0.

Not top 5, but could be: This week’s kicker that just missed the cut is Oakland’s Sebastian Janikowski. The Raiders play the Chiefs this week in a game that should feature plenty of scoring as the Chiefs have a subpar defense. I expect Janikowski to get plenty of action this week, even if it’s just kicking extra points. Projected fantasy points: 8.2.
