1. Mason Crosby (GB): The Packers kicker takes the top spot this week. Crosby has been perfect on the season, including four field goals last week against the Falcons. The Green Bay offense continues to chew up opposing defenses, which means more points for Crosby. Projected fantasy points: 10.5.
2. John Kasay (NO): Kasay got back on track last week, hitting three field goals and three extra points. Kasay is a similar kicker to Crosby in that both have great offenses that consistently put up lots of points. Expect at least a couple of field goals this weekend from the Saints kicker. Projected fantasy points: 9.8.
3. Shaun Suisham (PIT): Suisham got only one field goal attempt last week, but thanks to Ben Roethlisberger’s big game he had five extra points. He has had accuracy problems this year, converting six of nine field goals, but is a solid pick this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Projected fantasy points: 9.4.
4. Stephen Gostkowski (NE): Stephen is the second Patriots –owski to make a top five fantasy list this week next to Rob Gronkowski. The New England kicker missed one field goal in the first game of the year but has been perfect since. As long as the Patriots keep scoring points, Gostkowski is going to make fantasy owners happy. Projected fantasy points: 9.3.
5. Sebastian Janikowski (OAK): The man with the cannon for a leg rounds out the top five after a great performance last week against the Houston Texans. He kicked four field goals through the uprights, including three from at least 50 yards. The Raiders are seemingly capable of scoring from anywhere on the field thanks to him. Projected fantasy points: 9.3.
Not top 5, but could be: This week’s kicker that missed the cut but is a must-start is Dallas’ Dan Bailey. Bailey has proved that he is capable of single handedly winning the game for the Cowboys when he nailed six field goals to beat the Washington Redskins. The game against the Patriots should be fairly high scoring, and I’m expecting Bailey to be a big part of that. Projected fantasy points: 8.4.
