1. Mason Crosby (GB): Thanks to the high powered offense of the Green Bay Packers, Mason Crosby has been making fantasy owners very happy. The kicker from Colorado has made all his field goals (5) and extra points (12). Expect him to continue to put points on the board. Projected fantasy points: 10.1.
2. Dan Bailey (DAL): Against the Redskins, Bailey proved just how valuable a kicker can be. He was responsible for all of Dallas’ points, hitting six field goals, three from between 40 and 49 yards. Against the Lions this weekend he will probably not get as many field goal attempts, but expect him to have a least two. Projected fantasy points: 9.7.
3. John Kasay (NO): Kasay had a slow game last week but has been averaging just over nine fantasy points per game. He hasn’t missed yet, hitting all six of his field goals and 10 extra points. Kasay may have some work ahead of him this weekend as the Saints travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars. The Jags have a tough defense that could leave the Saints settling for field goals. Projected fantasy points: 9.4.
4. Connor Barth (TB): At fourth on the list is another kicker that has yet to miss. Barth is perfect on the season, including six for six on field goals. The Bucs offense isn’t very impressive, so Barth could get his number called on plenty of fourth downs this weekend against the Colts. Projected fantasy points: 9.3.
5. Josh Brown (STL): Last week was a bummer for Josh Brown owners. The kicker attempted only one extra point because the Ravens defense proved too much for the Rams offense. This week St. Louis faces a decent defense in Washington, but one that should allow more than seven points all game. Projected fantasy points: 8.8.
Not Top 5, but could be: This week’s kicker who is not in the top five but should be on everyone’s radar is Baltimore’s Billy Cundiff. The Ravens are playing the Jets this weekend in a game that should be full of defense and scavenging for points. The Ravens are likely to rely on Cundiff for big field goals. Projected fantasy points: 8.8.
