1. Dan Bailey (DAL): The Cowboy destroyed the Bills last weekend, winning 44-7. Bailey benefited from the blowout as he made three field goals and five extra points. The Dallas offense is rolling, which makes Bailey the top kicker for the week. Projected fantasy points: 11.3.
2. Mason Crosby (GB): The Packers didn’t need to rely on their kicker all that much in the 45-7 Monday night win. Crosby made one field goal and converted six extra points. Green Bay has the best offense in football and Crosby is one of the best kickers in football. Projected fantasy points: 10.5.
3. Matt Bryant (ATL): Bryant missed his first field goal of the year last week in the overtime loss to the Saints. He has been one of the most accurate kickers in football and is a must start on any fantasy team. Projected fantasy points: 9.9.
4. Stephen Gostkowski (NE): Gostkowski had a good game against the Jets on Sunday. He made all three of his field goals, including one from over 50 yards, and all four of his extra points. New England’s offense is back to its dominating ways, which is good news for the kicker. Projected fantasy points: 9.6.
5. Jason Hanson (DET): Hanson had a solid day against the Bears despite the struggles on offense. He hit a couple of field goals and an extra point. Detroit is likely to get back on track this week against Carolina, so expect more production from Hanson.
Not top 5, but could be: This week’s kicker that missed the cut is San Francisco’s David Akers. Akers had a big game against the Giants, converting four field goals and an extra point. The Niners play the Cardinals this week. Arizona’s defense isn’t very good, and I’m expecting Akers and company to put up plenty of points. Projected fantasy points: 8.9.
