English Premier League:

On Saturday, 1st place Manchester City host 3rd place Newcastle United. Both teams have started out better than most expected, and Newcastle will hope to get a valuable point from the match, but City have been dominant thus far. 5. Split Bet - Real Betis to win (3.98) and the Draw (3.52) v Villarreal
Both the draw and a Real Betis victory have value, as Villarreal have been one of the most disappointing sides in Europe this season. With the Yellow Submarine having a long list of injured players, there is definite value doing a split pick of Real Betis at 3.98 and the draw at 3.52.:

6. Udinese to win (2.62) v Parma
Udinese are currently top of the table with only 1 loss on the season, and Parma are in 14th. Yes, this is not an easy fixture, but getting better than 1 to 1 returns on the league leaders is difficult to pass up. Especially, considering that AccuScore’s simulations had Udinese winning 52.7% of simulations and oddsmakers age giving Udinese 37.4% chance of winning, this pick has value.

German Bundesliga

The Bundesliga offers a couple of mouthwatering matchups this weekend, but nothing comes close to Borussia Dortmund (last year’s champions) traveling to Munich to face Bayern Munich. In this matchup of #1 vs #2, injuries play a major factor. Bayern are without Bastian Schweinsteiger (injury) and Anatoli Tymoschuk (suspension). This creates a bit of a problem for Bayern in the holding midfielder role, and if Dortmund can exploit this weakness, Bayern may find themselves in a heap of trouble. However, Dortmund are without Nevan Subotic and have been shaky all season after the departure of Nuri Sahin and fitness issues surrounding striker Lucas Barrios. Still, this should be a high octane Bundesliga match worth tuning in for. Dortmund won both encounters last season, and Bayern will be out for revenge.

La Liga

1st place Real Madrid travel to the Mestalla to face 3rd place Valencia on Saturday night. Last time these teams met in April, Real Madrid embarrassed Valencia in 6-3 behind a Ricky Kaka double and a Gonzalo Higuain Hattrick. Kaka was the outstanding player on the day with 2 goals and 2 assists. Believe it or not, the 6-3 scoreline was a bit flattering to Valencia, as Madrid were ahead 5-0 and then 6-1 before allowing 2 late goals for the final 6-3 scoreline. Needless to say, this was not a match the last time these teams met.

Kaka has been fighting off injury, but the Brazilian playmaker seems to be ready for this encounter and may feature for the start. Cristiano Ronaldo is full of confidence after scoring twice in Portugal’s triumph over Bosnia-Herzegovina en route to the Euro 2012 finals earlier this week. Madrid will likely take this match to Valencia, but Valencia have been a strong strong this season and are only 4 points back of Madrid.

Serie A:

This weekend, #2 Lazio travels to the San Paolo to face #6 Napoli in the showcase match of the Serie A. Also, Juventus host 5th place Palermo and hope to continue their undefeated season.
