teams. Of course, the implicit part of that agreement is that we would help you FIND said quarterbacks, kickers, tight ends and defenses! We have had quite a successful year with streaming suggestions and hope to keep that positive momentum.

Streaming has been pretty successful for us and we have seen a few players (Josh Allen, Jacoby Brissett, Gerald Everett, and Zane Gonzalez) go from streaming options to bonafide fantasy football starters which is the whole point of streaming in the first place!

The RotoExperts rankings and projections will guide you in making streaming and start/sit decisions, and the RX staff will be in the Daily Roto slack to answer questions for RotoExperts subscribers as well.

Streaming Notes: All players in this weekly column will be under 50% owned in Yahoo! Fantasy Football. A given player might be owned in your league but is not owned in all leagues. FAAB bids will be listed during the regular season but you know your league better than I do. FAAB dollars are also worth more the earlier they are spent in the calendar, so keep that in mind while streaming QB/K/TE/DST.

Week Nine Fantasy Football Streamers

Week Nine Quarterback Fantasy Football Streamers

Derek Carr– Last week was quite the week for us in the streaming department as Matt Stafford, Mason Rudolph and Ryan Tannehill (our three streamers) had massive, week-winning performances. Carr is not quite in the same echelon as Matt Stafford (who is a top streamer if he is somehow out there in your league) but is playing some of the best football of his career and comes into this game with the third-highest team total of the entire week.

Carr is averaging a career-best 7.7 yards per pass attempt and is being spurred on by the additions of Darren Waller, Josh Jacobs and Tyrell Williams. Playing with real NFL players has had a great impact on Carr, who knew! Carr is coming off of his best game of the season with 285 passing yards and three touchdowns (greatly aided by a long Hunter Renfrow touchdown that probably is not repeatable) and that should make him a little bit more easy to stomach as a streamer this week. Carr will likely be ranked as a top 10 quarterback this week.

Sam Darnold – If Derek Carr is already owned in your league, it might be time to go dumpster diving. Darnold is the face of when streaming gets ugly. He has seven interceptions in his last three games and has only one QB1 effort this season (against Dallas). If Robby Anderson doesn’t hang on to that 92-yard touchdown, Darnold would look even worse from a metric perspective. However, this was the same situation that we were in with Mason Rudolph last week against the Dolphins and Rudolph played BAD. He looked miserable in the first half and was basically saved by Diontae Johnson and JuJu Smith-Schuster.

So can you feel comfortable starting Darnold? I think you can. This is the worst passing defense in the history of the NFL per Football Outsiders DVOA. The team is giving up 6.5 yards per play on defense and have conceded 238 points. If you just give Darnold a median amount of attempts and offensive plays against this Dolphins defense, you just have to accept that he should give you passable fantasy numbers. I don’t envy you if you have to make this choice, but Darnold is a quality Week Nine Streamers choice.

Week Nine Kicker Fantasy Football Streamers

Daniel Carlson- Folks, we NAILED Dan Bailey last week. If you had him, he probably helped you to a victory in fantasy football in Week Eight. Daniel Carlson is the Week Nine version of Dan Bailey. The Raiders have one of the three best team totals of the week, they are playing at home in a game that projects to have a lot of passing attempts (more passing attempts = more possessions with = more field goal attempts) and Carlson has been perfect as a kicker this year despite no multi-attempt games. Carlson is actually running bad to not have any multi-attempt games so here we are folks, Daniel Carlson season.

Stephen Hauschka – 99% of the time when we are doing analysis for streaming, we stick to the realm of team totals, logic and math. Hauschka is going off that path just a little bit. Essentially, teams steamroll against the Dolphins and Washington which allows kickers more scoring chances. Hauschka has actually been pretty bad this year, making only seven of his 10 field goal attempts. However, this is a matchup that just brings the best out of kickers. The Bills do not have an extravagant team total but they are playing home to the second-worst team in football which is as positive of a script as you can write for a kicker. Washington has allowed 16 field goals this season and if Hauschka gets to three with a few XP’s, he will be a double-digit kicker.

Week Nine Tight End Fantasy Football Streamers

Darren Fells – Feels really should not be considered a streamer anymore at this point. He is 49% owned in Yahoo! leagues but after he has himself another great game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, that number is going to climb. Fells scaled up to playing 90% of the Texans snaps last week as Keke Coutee was benched and played 0 snaps for Houston. This has become a team that runs primarily 12 personnel as opposed to 11 personnel and that means that Fells’ production and playing time are real. Fells is third on the Texans in targets thus far and with Will Fuller injured, he is a bonafide fantasy starter.

Dallas Goedert – This weeks’ DFS chalk also makes for an excellent streamer. With the Philadelphia offense struggling to find its’ groove this season, their biggest change has been an addition of more 12 personnel. Goedert has actually out-targeted Zach Ertz for the last three weeks and is a key part of their offense. One thing that could negatively impact Goedert is the return of DeSean Jackson moving the Eagles away from less two-tight end sets but regardless, he still projects as one of the best values at the position this week. I would be comfortable starting him in a one tight end league this week.

Week Nine Defense/Special Teams Fantasy Football Streamers

Structural DST Streaming Philosophy: The core tenants of finding a good streaming defense are finding a home defense that is going to face a lot of passing attempts. While your league settings might differ, in general, what we are chasing is sacks, turnovers and the main goal is finding DST touchdowns. DST touchdowns happen most often on passing plays as opposed to rushing plays.

Dallas Cowboys – Daniel Jones threw four touchdown passes last week with Saquon Barkley running another in and the Detroit Lions were still a top 12 defense on the week. Rookie quarterbacks who do not know how to take care of the ball are the stuff that DST streaming dreams are made of. Jones has turned the ball over at least once in every start of his this season and given up multiple sacks in five of seven starts. There is also the added advantage of Dallas being much better than the Giants which will force New York to be playing from behind. Dallas is a slam dunk defense this week.

New York Jets-  Yes, even the New York Jets are a great streaming defense against the Miami Dolphins. We touted the Washington pro football team against the Dolphins and we are going to tout the Jets just as hard. The Dolphins are second to last in the NFL in yards per play and have the most turnovers per game in the NFL (only the Giants have more total turnovers). Even with the more competent Ryan Fitzpatrick at the helm, the team is just a giant bundle of suck. They have rewarded us all season for streaming against them and it should not stop now.
