advice I can give those who are competing in the Fantasy Football playoffs is don’t overthink things. Unless one of your star players has a really dreadful matchup or is not 100-percent healthy, you should ride with the guys who got you here. Nonetheless, below you’ll find the players I am higher on than the consensus. Good luck, everybody!

What’s better than writing up a Miami Dolphins quarterback? Writing up a former Dolphins quarterback as well! I’m going back to the Ryan Tannehill well and I also like Ryan Fitzpatrick but more on that later on. I know Tannehill may have let some owners down but he’s still QB6 in Fantasy points per game since he became the Titans starter in Week 7. He’s averaging more points per game than Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes during that span. While the Titans would love to just feed Derrick Henry 30 times, Tannehill will have opportunities to make plays because of the matchup. The Oakland Raiders are allowing the fifth most Fantasy points and are 28th in pass defense DVOA. Tannehill is a QB1 for me in that matchup. If you own Tom Brady or Drew Brees in a superflex league, I would pivot to Ryan Fitzpatrick. He’s started the last seven games for the Dolphins and has four Top-10 QB finishes during that span. The Dolphins defense is so bad that it leads to volume for Fitz, evidenced by his 37.3 passing attempts per game since Week 7. He faces the Jets this week, a team he threw 288 yards and three touchdowns against. LET’S GO DOLPHINS!

Last time I wrote up Kareem Hunt for you guys, he scored a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins. He’s back in the low-end RB2 conversation given his Week 14 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. While the Bengals defense has played better recently, they’re allowing 4.67 yards per carry to running backs and the eighth most Fantasy points to the position. Hunt’s floor is safe in PPR leagues as well as he has at least five targets in three of four games he’s played. He’ll catch a few passes and could break a long run or two for a score against this Bengals defense. A name in flex consideration heading into Week 14 is Darwin Thompson. It’s crazy because Thompson was so hyped during the Fantasy draft season but then fell to fourth on the depth chart after they acquired LeSean McCoy. Well, with Damien and Darrel Williams banged up, Thompson should be in line for a decent workload against the New England Patriots. Thompson posted season-highs across the board in Week 13, rushing 11 times for 44 yards and a touchdown. Considering the Chiefs have the third-highest scoring offense in the NFL, we want exposure to their running backs. The Chiefs have lightened McCoy’s workload recently and if he and Thompson are the only backs active on Sunday, Thompson should see double-digit touches.

We’ve never been burned by the New York Jets before, right? Rhetorical question. It seems like every season Robby Anderson turns it on during the Fantasy playoffs. Why would it change in 2019? Anderson just had seven receptions for 101 yards on 10 targets against the Bengals last week and actually dropped a would-be touchdown. Speaking of touchdowns, he has scored two of them over over the last three games. If you need any extra motivation, he’s facing the Dolphins in Week 14. Over the past eight weeks, the Dolphins are actually allowing the fifth most PPR points per game to outside wide receivers. With Jamison Crowder on the roster, Anderson spends most of his time on the perimeter. He’s a low-end WR2 for me in this matchup. A sneaky WR3 you might have added off the waiver wire is Zach Pascal. TY Hilton didn’t practice once again on Thursday and it’s looking like he will miss his second consecutive game. That’s music to Pascal owners’ ears as the Colts will face-off with the Tampa Bay Bucs, a defense allowing the most targets, receptions, and fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season. Just last week, Pascal led the Colts with seven receptions and 109 yards on 10 targets. While the Colts want to run the football, they likely won’t have success against the Bucs are first in run defense DVOA. Pascal is a WR3 you can legitimately trust in the first round of your playoffs!
