1. Aaron Rodgers (GB): The leader of the Cheese Heads is the top projected fantasy quarterback for week 4. So far this season, Rodgers has an average quarterback rating of 120.9 and has thrown eight touchdowns against one interception. He’ll be facing a Denver defense, while not bad, shouldn’t provide any more difficulty than Chicago. Projected Fantasy Points: 24.2.

2. Tom Brady (NE): Last week’s game against the Bills was certainly a strange one. I don’t think anyone expected Brady to fall apart in the second half and end up with four picks. This week he faces the Oakland Raiders, who have had a lot of trouble defending the pass. The Patriots are the best passing offense in football, so expect more typical Brady numbers. Projected fantasy points: 20.5.

3. Drew Brees (NO): Just behind the Patriots, the New Orleans Saints are the second best passing offense in the league, led by Drew Brees. Brees had an off day (for him) last Sunday against the Texans where he threw for 370 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. This Sunday, Brees will be facing a tough Jacksonville defense that is good at stopping both the pass and the run. Other quarterbacks may be benched for a game like this, but Brees will put up good numbers like he always does. Projected fantasy points: 18.8.

4. Matthew Stafford (DET): Matthew Stafford has shown football fans what he is capable of when he’s healthy. He’s led his team to a 3-0 record, throwing for 977 yards and nine touchdowns in the process. This weekend he will be facing a Cowboys defense that is ranked 12th in opponent passing yards. Stafford has beaten better defenses this year, the Vikings and Buccaneers, so expect another solid performance. Projected fantasy points: 18.0.

5. Ben Roethlisberger (PIT): Big Ben had possibly the worst start to a season that a quarterback can have. His team got killed and he turned the ball over five times. Since week one he has been much better and is slowly returning to form. This week he faces the Houston Texans. The Texans are a decent defensive team, but expect Roethlisberger to take care of the ball and to have a solid week. Projected fantasy points: 16.4.

Not Top 5, but could be: This week’s quarterback who is not in the top 5, but should be on everyone’s radar is Carolina’s Cam Newton. The rookie from Auburn has proven that he can put up big numbers. In the first two weeks of the season he threw for over 400 yards. This week he will be up against the Chicago Bears, a team that has struggled defensively. Watch for Cam to out-perform predictions at home against Chicago. Projected fantasy points: 13.9.
