2012 Conference USA Preseason Rankings

Houston lost record-setting quarterback Case Keenum, and Kevin Sumlin jumped to Texas A&M, but it still looks like the favorite in the West division. The Cougars do not have to play Southern Miss or UCF, and do return 16 starters. Central Florida is the favorite in the East with 16 returning starters, and getting Southern Miss at home.

2012 MAC Preseason Rankings

Get ready for another season of MACtion with five teams having between 13 and 25 percent probability of winning the conference. Northern Illinois is slightly out ahead in simulations averaging 6.4 wins in projections followed closely by Toledo and Ohio with 6.0. There could be as many six true bowl contenders, but the bottom seven project as some of the worst teams in the country boosting the records of the teams in the upper half.

2012 MWC Preseason Rankings

Boise State and San Diego State are gearing up for the geographically confusing jump to the Big East, but in the mean time they have a conference to win. Boise is the big favorite as usual projected to win the conference 50 percent of the time with nearly 7 wins in-conference. The Broncos are more inexperienced this year, but their strong history of winning keeps them on top. Nevada, SDSU, and Fresno State, and Air Force are all in the next tier trying to knock off Boise.
