The best of three series in the MLB playoffs first round proved to be tricky for some of the favorites. The top dogs still held their ground, but Minnesota Twins, Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox crashed out, allowing Houston Astros, Miami Marlins and Oakland Athletics progress to the divisional round.

Accuscore’s updated predictions still hold Dodgers and Yankees the biggest favorites, by far. Houston Astros is now predicted to head to the league final stages, with Minnesota letting us down badly. Atlanta is still likely to hold their ground, now facing up-and-coming Marlins. Tampa Bay is likely to provide a bit more challenge to the Yankees than previously predicted, but it should still be rather easy route for the New Yorkers.
