WORLD CUP 2014: ACCUSCORE OUTPERFORMS BLOOMBERG FINANCIAL AND GOLDMAN SACHS

AccuScore, a California-based company that specializes in modeling sports based on 10,000 simulations, outperformed the World's top financial modeling institutions during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

AccuScore and Bloomberg both picked 10 of the 16 teams to advanced past the group stages, while Goldman Sachs picked nine of the 16 teams to enter the knockout rounds.

At the start of the knockout stage, AccuScore projected the tournament and correctly predicted 15 of 16 results, including projecting both finalists. Bloomberg and Goldman Sachs both fell well short of those marks, and neither institution correctly projected Germany's advancement into the Championship round.

During the month-long tournament, AccuScore's model projected value picks for every match in the 2014 World Cup and provided a Return on Investment of 1,159% based on placing equal wagers on all 98 value picks identified by AccuScore's predictive model.
