Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool: Preview

With the FA Cup trumping the English Premier League this weekend, the Premier League only offers six matches. The highlight of the Premiership is the match between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. Two of the most in-form players in England go head-to-head on Sunday in the premier fixture of the weekend.

Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez are both on a tear these days. Bale has scored in seven of his last matches and has 10 goals over that span. Suarez has six goals in his last three matches and leads the Premier League with 21 goals.

Spurs playing away to the Reds may be for third place facing seventh place in the Premiership table, but the 12-point gap between the two clubs is shortened by the recent form of both sides. Liverpool has won its last three matches across all competitions by an aggregate score of 12-1.

Tottenham, on the other hand, is unbeaten in nearly two months of Premier League play. The Last time Spurs lost was back on Dec. 9, 2012 in an away match at Everton. To trace two losses, the North London derby on Nov. 17, 2013 was the time before that.

The two hottest players in the Premier League face off on Sunday, and both teams have plenty to play for.
