The NFC East is a two-team race, according to most experts and members of the media. While the New York Giants and the professional football team from Washington D.C. will do their very best to make the division a three-headed monster, the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will be keep an eye on each other for the NFC East lead.

Come November and December, Washington won't be in the hunt for a division title. Philly and Dallas, however, have more than enough talent on offense and just enough on defense to be compete on a weekly basis. With one of these sides losing DeMarco Murray and the other adding said league-leader, Chip Kelly just might be ready to steer his side to the top.

New York - when compared to their division - comes off as an anomaly. The team showed flashes of potential on offense last season, but a subpar offensive line halted any such hope from actually developing into something tangible. Vegas odds project the Giants to finish with 8 wins. AccuScore, however, projects NY to finish atop the NFC East with 10 wins.

Can Dallas cope without Murray?

The Cowboys lost the league's leading rusher in DeMarco Murray in the offseason. Worst of all, they lost the talent to a division rival (PHI Eagles). With Murray gone, the Cowboys will employ a three-person committee to lead the ground attack, utilizing Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar in a variety of sets.

Aside from the RB by committee situation, the team's defense will be a focus of analysis in 2015. Despite his suspension, Greg Hardy's impact on the team is crucial to the Cowboys competing for a division title. Dallas was ranked No. 14 in the league in terms of pass-rushing stats and No. 28 in the league in overall team sacks.

Hardy's potential impact on the pass rush alone - he was No. 3 in the league in combined sacks, hits and hurries in 2013 - could have a larger impact on the team's win total than any other factor.

How much better will the Giants be?

The only thing more important than bolstering the offensive line in the offseason for the Giants was improving dramatically on the defensive end. Steve Spagnuolo will take the reigns on defense in 2015, expecting to utilize a cornerback-blitz system that provides much different looks from last season.

While all eyes in NY will be on Odell Beckham Jr. and his production, the team's potential to compete in and win the NFC East will fall largely on the shoulders of the defensive.
