The College Basketball season is on, but you may have noticed the college basketball picks look a bit different this season.

To start the season, AccuScore is only providing picks and data on a few teams and games. This season, AccuScore is starting by only covering the Top 25 for the start of the season. That should expand slightly after Thanksgiving, but the uncertainty of neutral court tournaments and fresh rosters makes us weary about providing picks for all games.

Based on prior year data, our system isn't confident on these early season games against a lot of non-D1 teams and neutral site tournaments to warrant us posting data. We would rather post data we're fully confident in than not. In year's past, our results have not been great until we have about a month worth of season data for college basketball.

How the Picks Work

This season, you may notice that only a handful of games have a link to the Analysis and Game Forecast on the College Basketball Expert Picks page. All other games have N/A listed. This is because we have the ability to put data for all games live, but we are instead focusing on a certain sub-sect of games for the time being. After Thanksgiving, the Top 25 field will expand slightly. By the end of December, however, we should have all the usual teams, picks and analysis.

Ultimately, you will have better access to the best NCAA basketball picks with the best data and trends available. We are still tracking player and individual data for all teams, so when the entire board lights up before the new year, we can be exponentially more confident in every pick we provide our members.
