the Panthers always helps a quarterback out, as the defending NFC Champions are allowing over 23 Fantasy points per game to the position. Rivers himself is averaging almost 23 Fantasy points per game, so the potential for a big game is there this week.

Andy Dalton– Cincinnati Bengals- It’s not every week I can say to start Dalton with confidence but the Bengals are facing the Browns defense, which has allowed the fifth-most Fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. It’s hard not to like the “Red Rifle” this week.

Sit

Ryan Tannehill- Miami Dolphins- Tannehill is not a Fantasy-relevant quarterback and he’s facing the Cardinals’ defense, which has allowed the fourth-fewest Fantasy points per game to the position.

Blake Bortles– Jacksonville Jaguars- After his dismal performance last week, he’ll face a Vikings defense allowing the third-fewest Fantasy points per game to the quarterback. It looks like another down game for Bortles and the Jaguars.

Wide Receiver

Start

Malcolm Mitchell- New England Patriots- With the severity of the ankle injury to DannyAmendola expected to keep him out until the playoffs, Mitchell could see even more targets than the 10 he saw last week. He now has three touchdowns in his last three games and gets a Ravens defense allowing the ninth-most Fantasy points per game to receivers.

Dontrelle Inman- San Diego ChargersInman gets a Panthers defense allowing almost 25 Fantasy points per game to opposing receivers. With both Travis Benjamin and Tyrell Williams not at full health, Inman could have a big game after scoring a touchdown last week and posting almost 18 Fantasy points the week before.

Sit

Allen Robinson- Jacksonville Jaguars- At this point, it may be common sense to bench the Jaguars star but it may be difficult based on what we know he’s capable of. After yet another disappointing game last week, he now faces a Vikings defense allowing the second-fewest Fantasy points per game to receivers. It may be time to look elsewhere for the receiver position.

Jarvis Landry– Miami Dolphins- The Dolphins’ receivers face the Cardinals defense, which is allowing the eighth fewest Fantasy points per game to the position. Landry hasn’t scored double-digit Fantasy points since Week 3.

Running Back

Start

Jeremy Hill- Cincinnati Bengals- Hill may not have had a big game versus the Eagles last week but he did score a touchdown. With Giovanni Bernard out of the picture, the Bengals running back gets the second-worst run defense all to himself this week.

Todd Gurley– Los Angeles Rams- While I don’t feel comfortable starting Gurley, he does face a Falcons defense allowing the fourth-most Fantasy points per game to his position. This could be a game in which Gurley worth using.

Sit

Rashad Jennings- New York Giants- After posting double-digit Fantasy points in Weeks 10 and 11, Jennings was held to 55 rushing yards last week. This week he gets a Cowboys run defense allowing the third-fewest Fantasy points to the running back position.

LeGarrette Blount– New England Patriots- While Blount has been everything Fantasy owners expected this season, his Week 14 matchup versus a Ravens run defense that is allowing the fewest Fantasy points per game to running backs is not in his favor.

Tight End

Start

Antonio Gates- San Diego Chargers- The tight end position has been a letdown this season, to say the least. Gates’ matchup this week should stand out against a Panthers defense that allows the third-most Fantasy points per game to the tight end position.

C.J. Fiedorowicz– Houston Texans- With a solid Week 14 matchup versus a Colts defense allowing the sixth-most Fantasy points per game to his position, Fiedorowicz looks good to go this week.

Sit

Martellus Bennett– New England Patriots- It seems like every time we think Bennett will have a good game versus a team that bleeds Fantasy points to tight ends, he lets us all down. This week he gets a Ravens defense allowing the fourth-fewest Fantasy points to the tight end.

Jack Doyle– Indianapolis Colts- Doyle has not scored double-digit Fantasy points since Week 7. This week he faces the Texans’ defense, which allows the fifth fewest Fantasy points per game to the position.

Defense/Special Teams

Start

Cincinnati Bengals- The Bengals get the lowly Browns this week, for whom the same quarterback can’t start for multiple weeks at a time without getting an injury of some kind. Even so, it wouldn’t matter much, as the march to 0-16 continues for the Browns.

Minnesota Vikings– I’m back on the bandwagon this week, as the Vikings play the Jaguars for whom Blake Bortles averages 23 Fantasy points per game. The Vikings’ defense is tough on quarterbacks, allowing the third-fewest Fantasy points to the position.

Sit

New York Giants- The Giants defense has played the quarterback well this season, allowing the second-fewest Fantasy points to the position. However, this week they face Dak Prescott, who is marching towards a possible MVP award this season as rookie. This may not be the best week for the Giants defense.

Kansas City Chiefs– With a Thursday night tilt versus division opponent the Oakland Raiders, the Chiefs are allowing the fourth-most Fantasy points per game to the quarterback, while Derek Carr is averaging almost 23 fantasy points per game.
