to grab the immediate replacement for Curry (Quin Cook) and Irving (Terry Rozier) off the waiver wire.

Sure, some owners were holding out for the return of Curry and/or Irving without making a move; a shortsighted decision that’s on par with my secret crush actually accepting an invitation for a coffee date. (Stop wondering who the secret crush is. That’s why it’s secret, right?)

It’s too late to play the “what if?” game if you missed out on Cook and Rozier. However, let’s find some waiver wire gold that could help keep your title hopes alive in this, the penultimate week of the Fantasy Basketball season.

Waiver Saviors

Denzel Valentine, F, Bulls: Chi Town has dropped five straight losses after Saturday’s whipping from the Pistons, yet Valentine is showing some late-season love to the 63 percent who own him in CBSSports.com leagues. Valentine had 20 points and five boards on Friday and followed that with 18 points, three rebounds and three assists on Saturday. He’s become a good source for 3-point production, having hit 18 over his last five games while shooting them at a 48.6 percent clip.

Jeremy Lamb, G, Hornets: With Nicolas Batum sidelined indefinitely, Lamb has emerged as the third option in Charlotte’s lineup. He’s become a nifty stat-stuffer of sorts, evidenced by a 12-point, nine rebounds and six assists in Thursday’s 61-point flogging of the Grizzlies. Lamb is owned in 61 percent of CBSSports.com leagues and his versatility would help an owner lamenting the loss of Curry and/or Irving.

Marcus Morris, F, Celtics: He’s taking his share of the scoring workload in Boston, and he’s scored 30 points twice in his last five games along with a 21-point effort in Tuesday’s win over the Thunder. Morris is sizzling from beyond the arc, hitting eight of his last 12 treys entering Sunday’s game at the Kings. CBSSports.com owners are taking notice of his scoring binge as Morris is now the property of 48 percent of Fantasy owners on the site.

That was smooth, @JabariParker
