The Los Angeles Lakers have added Dwight Howard and Steve Nash to create a powerhouse with Pau Gasol, Ron Artest, and Kobe Bryant still on the team. The Oklahoma City Thunder still have Westbrook, Durrant, Ibaka and Perkins, and the Miami Heat added future Hall of Famer Ray Allen to Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh.

Below, AccuScore simulates the entire 2012-13 NBA season one game at a time with each game being simulated 10,000 times. These simulations are updated regularly based on injuries, trades, etc. At this point in time, this is the most updated 2012-13 season projection of wins, losses, probability of winning the division, and probability of making the playoffs.

In the West, the Lakers are pre-season favorites but by narrowest of margins over Oklahoma City and San Antonio Spurs, not surprising that the Lakers are top but a bit surprising at how close the race is. In the East, the Miami Heat are big favorites: no surprise there. Meanwhile, the Charlotte Bobcats are projected to only get about 17 wins and finish at the bottom of the East.
