Super Bowl 50: Prop Bets - Expert Picks

With Super Bowl Sunday around the corner, AccuScore tracked down intriguing prop bets that offer a bit of value, and put those odds next to the 10,000 simulations AccuScore performed to come back with the computer's award winning projections. Then, we provided a bit of analysis on what the odds and AccuScore's projections are saying...

Super Bowl 50 - QB Props Bets

Vegas Odds
Cam Newton throws for 300+ yards: +375
Cam Newton records 100 or more rushing yards: +750
Peyton Manning throws for 300+ yards: +175

Super Bowl 50 Prop Bets: Quarterbacks

Analysis: Taking a zoomed out view to the QB props, Vegas is betting on Peyton Manning to throw for more yardage than Cam Newton. That’s a fact. AccuScore tends to agree, but AccuScore isn’t projecting either QB to get to 300 passing yards. Newton rushing for 100 yards sounds a bit nuts, too.

Super Bowl 50: Running Back Prop Bets

Vegas Odds -Most Yards: Rushing
Jonathan Stewart (CAR)+120
C.J. Anderson (DEN)+135
Cam Newton (CAR)+500
Ronnie Hillman (DEN)+700
Mike Tolbert (CAR)+3300

Super Bowl 50 Prop Bets: Running Backs

Analysis: AccuScore projects Jonathan Stewart as the leading rusher with C.J. Anderson second. However, the computer is giving a healthy edge to Stewart over Anderson based on number of carries. Stewart still appears to be the best value bet at +120. Newton at +500 looks appealing, too, but that would be a better pick than taking Anderson based on AccuScore’s 10,000 simulations.

Super Bowl 50: Receiving Prop Bets

Vegas Odds - Most Yards: Receiving
Demaryius Thomas (DEN)+300
Emmanuel Sanders (DEN)+325
Greg Olsen (CAR)+300
Ted Ginn Jr. (CAR)+500
Corey Brown (CAR)+700
Jerricho Cotchery (CAR)+1200
Devin Funchess (CAR)+1600
Owen Daniels (DEN)+1600
Jordan Norwood (DEN)+5000
Cody Latimer (DEN)+5000
Andre Caldwell (DEN)+5000
Bennie Fowler (DEN)+5000

Super Bowl 50 Prop Bets: Receivers

Analysis: AccuScore agrees with Vegas that the race for top receiver is between Demaryius Thomas, Greg Olsen and Emmanuel Sanders. However, Vegas has Olsen ahead of Sanders and in a tie with Thomas. Picking Sanders offers slight value, but AccuScore agrees that Thomas is at the front of the pack.
