AccuScore Finishes 7-0, Picks Broncos on Moneyline!
When the 2016 NFL Playoffs draw was set, AccuScore picked the Denver Broncos to meet the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos holding a decisive advantage. Unlike ESPN’s FivethirtyEight and countless experts, AccuScore's computer did hesitate on picking the Broncos and rode Peyton Manning and Denver’s defense to victory. For Super Bowl 50, though, all the trends pointed to a winner against the spread and on the Moneyline. With the winning pick on Super Bowl 50, AccuScore ended the season picking 15-2-2 or 88% +1280 profit on all picks against the spread for games involving the Denver Broncos.
Yea, AccuScore had a good read on the Broncos all season long, so the computer felt confident about its Super Bowl pick and put a 4-star tag on it.
With positive trends against the spread, AccuScore tried to scream far and wide that the computer knew something us humans simply refused to acknowledge. The Denver defense held the edge, and that edge would rattle Cam Newton slightly more than it would rattle Peyton Manning. Ultimately, that proved to be the difference, as the Panthers needed Newton to be great far more than the Broncos needed Manning to be great to win.
To be honest, neither quarterback looked good on Sunday, but Newton’s two fumbles lost combined with his interception proved to be the difference in the game. However, Manning’s interception and fumble lost did not exactly make his likely ride into the sunset seem untimely.
