This article provides a brief preview into the best matches around Europe, but more importantly, it features AccuScore’s top picks of the week. If you were wondering how these analyst picks have been doing, you’ll be happy to hear that they have provided winning weekends every weekend for the past month. The overall record over that time is 14-6, or 70%. Our soccer experts have re-convened to share their thoughts on the upcoming weekend …

English Premier League:

Manchester City versus Liverpool is stealing all the headlines, deservedly so. A trip to Anfield is a difficult proposition for any side. With City reeling from a damaging loss at the San Paolo to Napoli which has the Premier League leaders wobbling into the Europa League at the moment, the Blues will be desperate to make a statement in the domestic campaign. Liverpool are struggling for goals, but their ability to create chances must surely lead to goals at some point. With the quality and money that these clubs have investing, this is worth the watch.

2nd place Manchester United host 3rd place Newcastle United on Saturday . Newcastle were beaten down by Manchester City last weekend and are looking to reestablish their claim to being a top 4 side. With United playing less than quality football of late, Newcastle will be hopeful of stealing at least a point from the fixture. Wayne Rooney is expected to be back for the Red Devils and Park Ji-Sung has been tipped to start. This should be an dramatic contest, especially if United continue to struggle.

2. Tottenham v West Bromwich Albion: Over 2.5 goals
Hot Trends:
-5-2 when AccuScore calculates value on picking the over with Spurs this season
-4-1 when AccuScore calculates value in picking Totals away from White Hart Lane with Spurs this season

3.Juvenuts v Lazio: Draw at 3.24
Hot Trends:
-4-2 when AccuScore calculates value on picking the Draw with Juve with about 900% net profit on the season
-2-3 when AccuScore calculates value on picking the Draw with Lazio with about 100% net profit.
-Juve side value on the road this season is 400% net profit and 4-2 record
-Lazio side value in Rome this season is 300% net profit and 3-5 record overall
This is a dangerous play, but sometimes, the draw isn’t a bad pick in the Serie A

4.Sevilla (2.45) v Real Zaragoza
-The trends don’t really support this pick, but AccuScore finds tremendous value in picking Sevilla at 2.45. The oddsmakers are giving Sevilla a 40.0% chance of winning and AccuScore believes that value should really be at 51.7%. Zaragoza are relegation contenders while Sevilla are currently in a European position. As a side note, Sevilla have not won away from home this season with 5 draws in 5 matches. Zaragoza have both their wins at home in 6 matches. Still, the computer finds significant value, so this is a computer pick, against the trends.

German Bundesliga

Dortmund v Schalke is the biggest match of this weekend in Germany. Dortmund can be level on points with Monchengladbach at the top of the table with a win, while Schalke can be level on points with Bayern Munich (who play on Sunday)with a win, 1 point off the pace.

Bayern can re-claim the lead at the top of the Bundesliga table by collecting all 3 points away to Mainz on Sunday. A draw would leave the Bavarian giants even with ‘Gladbach and possible looking up at Dortmund.

La Liga

Real Madrid continue to hang tough at the top of the table, and this week, they host Atletico Madrid sin Falcao. Madrid have been in sizzling form and Cristiano Ronaldo, Sami Khedira, and Pepe were all rested in midweek. The atmosphere and passion of the Madrid derby is worth tuning in for, but if you’re an Atleti fan, you may have your eyes closed for most of this match.

Serie A:

This weekend, #1 Juventus faces #2 Lazio in the premier match of this Serie A (technically Udinese is top, but they have played 2 more matches than Juve and 1 more match than Lazio—Udinese won the Friday match 2-0 against Roma).
