Last week's picks went 3-1 (4-1 if you include the Manchester City pick in the Manchester Derby article). Now here are this week's expert European football picks:
1. Manchester United (1.82)to beat Everton
AccuScore calculates value in this pick and AccuScore has been extremely profitable in value picks at Goodison Park. Tim Cahill is out, and although Saha looked in form midweek, United are desperate for a result and welcome back Vidic and Cleverly to their Premier League side.
2. Levante to win (3.33) or draw (3.35) away to Osasuna
Levante are the feel good story in Europe, and there’s no good reason to stop believing at this point. AccuScore calculates value on both the draw and a Levante win, so a split pick is the correct play on this one. Regardless of whether Levante win or draw, the pick would be profitable. The trends aren’t with this pick, but Levante has surprised us all this season. If Levante lose, however, Barcelona and Real Madrid will likely return to the top and Levante will be the forgotten story of the season.
3. AC Milan to win (2.67) away to AS Roma
Milan have been in top form since the return of Kevin-Prince Boateng and Robinho, and the defending champs are calculated to have value at these odds. In value situations involving Milan away from the San Siro, AccuScore is 3-2 and paid out 2 to 1 overall. Also, Roma’s matches at the Olimpico that AccuScore calculated to have value have yielded profits of 4 to 1. Getting the champs at 2.67 is a good pick even if it doesn’t pay.
4. Werder Bremen to win (2.61) away to Mainz
Bremen have been up and down this season, but with Claudio Pizarro available, they aways have a chance. AccuScore calculates value on Bremen to win in this fixture, and AccuScore has paid out about 3 to 1 when calculating value on Bremen to win away from home. Additionally, Mainz has paid out 4 to 1 on the season in situations when AccuScore calculated value on Mainz to lose. Finally, Mainz total side value at home is 4-2 but has paid out an unbelievable 9 to 1 on the season. This is a serious trend picks.
