Outright Picks

To Win

Value Pick: Winner – Tottenham Hotspur @ 11.00

Spurs have only gotten stronger and are likely to acquire some reinforcements before the end of transfer window. Their system is working, their young players are now one more successful season more experienced and Mauricio Pochettino will have honed out all the small issues they had last season. They came so close last season that there will be extra motivation to push through this time around. With odds of 11.00 Spurs to win the Premier League is an excellent pick, as Accuscore estimates their title chances to 22%!

Safe bets: Winner – Chelsea @ 5.00, Manchester United @ 5.00

If Spurs feels like a too much of a stretch, there’s always the reigning champions Chelsea. They got better and better as the season went on, so Antonio Conte has taken it relatively easy in the transfer market. The team is strong in all areas and it’s very likely they’ll make a serious challenge for a repeat. Odds of 5.00 are quite in line, but Accuscore has Chelsea winning the title with 21% chance.

Another team likely to do better than last year is Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United. They’ve acquired the pieces needed for success in Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku – and they might not be done yet. Mourinho knows how to organize his defense, next stop would be to start scoring goals. Now with Paul Pogba set free and Lukaku up front, they are certainly up there in the end. Accuscore’s odds to win the title are close to 22%.

Relegation

Value Picks: To be relegated – Swansea @ 4.00, Watford @ 3.00

Even though it might feel easy to pick each or all of the newly promoted teams to get relegated, that’s hardly the case according to Accuscore’s simulations. On the contrary, teams that have enjoyed some good times in the Premier League are now facing elimination. Both clubs have decent rosters, but are lacking a direction in their survival battle. Watford has signed a plethora of seemingly quality players, but their team effort has left a lot to be desired for. Swansea has impressed at times, but then fallen from grace in the next game. With promoted teams fighting tooth and nail for their place with the big boys, it’s time for the strugglers to go down.

Bold Stretch: Relegation Treble – Burnley, Swansea, Watford @ 66.00

According to Accuscore simulations, these three teams are the ones going down. It’s a long shot, of course as there’s plenty of factors that are constantly changing, but with the odds of 66.00 it’s definitely worth it.

Others

Value Picks: To Finish Top-10 – Leicester @ 2.00, West Ham @ 2.50

Battle in the mid-table is always a tricky one, with plenty of teams within a couple of points. However, according to Accuscore’s simulations, both West Ham and Leicester are slightly undervalued by the bookkeepers. Leicester has a bounce back year after difficult “sophomore” season after the magical title run and its back to basics – and no European contest to mix it up. They have a quality team and know how to win close games. With healthy goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel only getting better with experience, they might even pop up to top-6 like they do in Accuscore simulations.

West Ham has finally been able to solidify their place in the Premier League and with excellent additions of Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta and Chicarito are heading to the right direction. They are still looking for midfield acquisition, but are already an overall better team than last season. Injuries have always plagued the Hammers, but with a bit of luck they’ll reach the projected 8th spot when it’s all said and done.
