I'm no Eli Manning fan, but I definitely think he's right to blast Tiki Barber for criticizing him on NBC's Half-Time show.  The fact is, Barber was supposed to be the team leader of the Giants and he's the one that bailed on the team.  Last year when Michael Irvin and Tom Jackson said it was a bad move for Tiki to declare retirement mid-season, he went ape sh** against those guys on his lame "Barber Shop" Sirius radio show.  Tiki retired mid-season because he wanted to campaign for his broadcasting career.  How selfish. 

Tiki's got a huge ego and he confuses being smart with being right.  In order to get good grades in school you have to be able to memorize what is taught and repeat it in written form.  But this doesn't make you Socrates.  I just remember Tiki being interviewed last season about his plans after retirement.  He kept on repeating how he could do so much more than just be another former jock covering his sport.  He used the phrase "disseminator of news" around 10 times in 3 minutes. 

What a dumb phrase.  Disseminator of news. 

My wife (doesn't follow the NFL at all) was watching that interview and said "Who's this pretty boy and why is he trying so hard to sound smart?"

I want to be a disseminator of the truth:  Tiki, you come off very lame.  Maybe a few Today Show watching housewives like you, but that's about it.  I never thought it would be possible for someone to put up your stats and still have no kids want to be like you when they grow up.

I don't care about all those yards you ran for the last few seasons.  All I know is you were supposed to be too quick for the Ravens in the Super Bowl and early in the first quarter, Ray Lewis ran you down from behind and swiped out your legs like a lion catching his prey.  Ray disseminated some pain on you. 

Get your ego in check, go away and come back when you understand you are not God's gift to broadcasting.
